Hi Dave,

thanks for getting back, yes the injectors have been coded in, as they are the ones which were installed on the replacement engine.

I it showing some additional things, I have discovered, that if it does not start within 2 or 3 seconds of cranking, I stop and retry. Sometimes it will fire, others not, but if I retry several times, usually from cold, it will start, and run fine.
It seems as though there is a missing signal, or possibly it is just a case of the cam sensor being in the correct position.

The engine is as far as I know the same 185 as was in before, same year etc. Only difference is mine is the R-Design, where I don't think the donor car was.

I have an oscilloscope meter coming to check whether the injectors are actually being triggered, as when it does fire, there is no spluttering or missing etc, it fires straight in perfect, almost as though the ECU has something not right, then as soon as it is present, fires straight up.
