Hankook tyres
It's time to get rid of my P6000. About time as they are pants.
I'm looking at getting some Hankook ventus prime K105 xl ones. Just wondering if anyone had used these and what there thoughts were. I found somewhere that sells the toyo t1-r for not much more. 9dont want to spend more then £60 a tyre as just paid the car tax ( and got to get 2 new front shocks) I'm just after a tyre that handles well in all weather conditions and that the tread wear is good. I'm thinking the tread wear is alot better in the hankooks then the toyo's, and the hankooks grip pretty well in all conditions fromt he reviews i've read.

I got some Uniroyal Rainsport's fitted for 61 pounds per tyre, excellent in the wet (as you'd expect) and impressive in the dry. Seem to be very hardwearing too as they've been on the front for a few k now and don't seem to be wearing much!

Had my hankooks fitted yesterday. K105 extra load version, and so far so good. Just need it to rain now of all things to want, just to see how they are in the wet

Fulda Carat Progresso on all 4 corners of my V70 - lasting well, quiet, excellent grip - and £54 each fitted at Hi-Q. 35,000 miles on the rears so far and 20,000 on the front and I reckon they've still got at least 50% life left in all of them.
Had P6000s before and found them to be not very long-lasting - I swap front to rear regularly to maximise tyre life, but I only got around 35,000 miles out of them in total. It will certainly be the Fuldas for me again next time. Jack |
