v70 D5-vac pump seals part numbers
Hi,can anyone possibly help me with a part number for a 2005 volvo v70 D5 vac pump seal,it's the one on the very end which has a cover plate with 4 screws on it-it's rectangular in section and is coloured orange-[not the keyhole shaped seal which fits from the pump to the head.i have looked on vida and it doesn't show the seal just the body with the cover plate attached,i have even tried the volvo dealers and they can't see anything.

Some vac pumps don't have separate seal kits listed so if Vida doesn't show it, a seal is unlikely to be available on its own.
Pumps are very reliable and in low demand so you should be able to pick up a decent complete unit from a Volvo breakers.

Thanks cheshired5,i was hoping someone wouldn't tell me that,i just presumed if it has a seal which has easy access by removing 4 small torx screws it would be readily available from volvo.i wonder if they get a customers car in with a leak from that joint between the cover plate and pump body-what do they do just fit a complete new pump-seems a bit mad to me but maybe that's how it is,only reason i wanted one was the leak from that seal was bad enough to make an oily mess on top of the gearbox so if anyone has such a mess-check it out, cheers.
