C70 S70 V70 Cars: - Loud Noise

Orange emission light on dash. Engine whistling loud when ticking over, ok when driving. Noise coming from cam belt area, new cam belt has been fitted withe tensioners. No loss of performance, no overheating, no noise when engine cold. Help please

Sounds like a vacuum leak, but could be a number of things so really you need to read the codes and see what the system is telling you.

Thanks for info. Unfortunately I'm not mechanis, what as these codes I need to look for, Nothing come up only emission sign.Took car to couple of mechanics, they are baffled. Do I need to get a diagnostic check on it, would that tell garage where problem was. Car is a 51 plate, 176,000 on clock, in good shape apart from this niggle. Main dealer would probably sort it, but value of car would make it non starter. There maybe a mobile mechanic about who knows about Volvos
