Default Etm Upgrade

Hi every one

My 1998 S70 43000 on the clock is booked in to have a software upgrade and throttle body clean next week on advice from Volvo uk .
The engine runs ok, should I have the upgrade or leave well alone.
Many Thanks David.

See, i havent had mine done for the simple reason being i have heard of too many failing after they have been cleaned and i cant afford to be without the car.

Probably just really sceptical given how many probably get cleaned a day.

Default ETM Clean

Does anyone know what they do when cleaning ?
If they "Clean" the potentiometer they probably make it worse.

My car was idling quite bad and it was naff to drive others had a idle problem of over- + 500 rpm, which is dangerous if you don't get it looked at soon then it could fail at motorway speed,

Gary.
