2011 V50 D3 SE Lux breaking or project
Aux belt tensioner went and took out timing belt causing it to jump. All belts and tensioners, water pump were replaced but looks like valves have been pinged or cam spun.
Been quoted stupid prices to repair head and don’t have space to replace it myself. Car has 115k miles, BLIS, winter pack, family pack and 18” rims with conti winter tyres. A bit of wear on drivers seat but otherwise mint for age so really don’t want to see it scrapped when it could be of use to a Volvo enthusiast. Car is in central Scotland and time is not on my side to find a solution other than scrap. Been offered £600 to scrap so if anyone is interested in it I’d be looking for that at least. Picture was car a few days before belt issue, too clean to be crushed by random scrap dealer. |
