Default CD Autochanger compatability

I have a problem with the 6CD autochanger in my '06 - 2006 2.5T XC90. I am working with Seb at SLR Warrington trying to change it.

Seb got a replacement from Lucas and it worked fine but it has now failed showing "disk error" - so we need another unit. The model number on the cage is 30737972-1. There is one on ebay with that model number but it is a "single" CD player ! Many others on ebay have different model numbers saying they are 6CD changers - usually from a a slightly older XC90.

So does anyone know whether it is ok to swap in any 6CD changer from any 02-06 XC90 - irrespective of model number and not have any software issues etc. Lucas told Seb the one he sent us could swap straight in with no issues - and of course that was correct - but the unit was out of its cage so didn't have a model number on it.

Thanks for any info on this one.

John
