It is an early (March) 2002. As far as I know P26 cars were designed before the Ford era.
However members of the forums say that Ate is in fact OEM. I hope the discs will last at least 4 years (or 100.000 kms). The old, el cheapo, Bosch discs lasted 3 years (almost 80.000 kms).

Would love to... but.. there is always a but... all this break renewal game cost me 400 euro, right before a family trip to Italy. Believe it or not, for me, it is getting more and more difficult to keep this car in good shape. But I love her.
I will have a friend of mine depress the brake pedal (only halfway not to damage the master cylinder).

OK
or you can get a pipe with a valve in it cheap from car parts stores ,
it would save anything going back in,

I got my bleeder last time I did the brakes ,
I still have parts to do to my car as I got most of them last year, but then got ill, so did not fit them, so I am trying to do it now,
but I do have arthritis so some days are better then others,

Did your brake pipes come undone ok, if I feel ok I am going to do mine tomorrow,
Dave

Brake pipes come undone quite ok. I had to use a pipe wrench at the metal pipe part (the 13 mm one).
I got a Mittyvac which can be used for bleeding.
Spent my day rebuilding the calipers. The rear ones went smooth, the front ones not. I encountered some problems fitting the pistons into the calipers. After a couple of times they went in.
Removed the old disks, cleaned the wheel bearings and applied copper paste onto them. Just to find out that my parking brakes are sticking. Sometimes they seize, sometimes not.
I think I will have to replace both handbrake cables. Arghhh..... Watched SirRob's video again and fired up Vida to read the instructions.
I wonder if I can just take apart the parking brake mechanism (shoes and spring) and lubricate it with copper grease. Would that help? Or is it really necessary to replace the handbrake cables?

I joined Jaguar Land Rover in September 2001 and Volvo was part of Premier Automotive Group then. I believe FMC bought Volvo for the in-line 5 cylinder engine to power their Focus STs - not sure. Ultimately, my 2005 Volvo T5 ended up with very similar components to those found in Ford vehicles.

You get good life out of your discs - mine never last that long.

You should clean it off and use some proper stuff like this for brake assembly.

I checked them last night. As I mentioned couple of posts earlier they were replaced about 3 years ago with some aftermarket ones. They are in great condition.
Sometimes they seize (are not retracting). I will give them a good clean today if weather will be fine.
Will also be ordering 2 spring set (one to have it on the shelf, just for my piece of mind). Will also be replacing a rear wheel bearing (with a used one from my other V70 that I keep for spares). The other one was replaced about 2 years ago. The front ones were also replaced, so this rear one is the only one original and has some mileage.
Thanks for keeping an eye on this topic.

Thank you. Will do today if weather will allow it. I got some stuff like that the only difference is it is not from Ate but from Pagid. The same thing. I also have some copper grease from Liqui Molly. Will use the brake grease.
