Default Brake pedal vibration on clutch depression

Hi all, it’s been a while. I’ve an issue following brake replacement. (Front disks and pads) on my 2005 D5 S80.

Randomly I get a ‘farting’ noise / vibration through the brake pedal. I can’t decide if it’s the pads rattling or air in the hydraulics somewhere. It’s normally on approach to a roundabout or junction when slowing to a stop.

When I try to reproduce, it seems to happen more when the clutch is depressed, (maybe more pronounced near the bottom of the travel?)

I’ve read that crappy pads may cause vibration as the dust gets I between the pads and disks but not sure why the clutch would make this more frequent.

I’ve bled the front brakes and clutch line but that made no difference and I’m not getting the clutch pedal stuck to the floor thing as if there was air in there.

I did wind back one of the brake pistons with the reservoir cap on 🤦*♂️, could I have I popped a seal somewhere?

If it's a graunch it's normal and you'll get it more and more after washing the car and letting it sit for a day.

However! we must go in deeper, the cap mishap won't be it I've done that myself before without any comeback. So with that I'd check the disk screws are still in properly and also that the wheel nuts are fully tightened.

After that IF you're confident the brakes are working properly and it's just the vibes and Radio 4 Wheels that is bugging you I would at night on a quiet motorway get up to 70, check my mirrors to ensure there's nobody around and brake hard without making the car go into a skid or veer off course, repeat this 4 or 5 times and if you have an out of true disc it should straighten it up for you.

DON'T DO IT @ BUSY TIMES!, best of luck.

Cheers bud, it was one of those pesky driveshaft bolts.

I swear one day they’ll drop out and the front end will do the splits 🙄
