V50 2007 Fuel feed unit
Hi, I’ve got a question that maybe someone smarter than me can figure out.
I’ve been told I need a new combined tank unit, part nr 30794767, because fuel sensor is misreading. I was considering driving without functioning sensor level, but it’s stuck halfway to the bottom and sinks with usage. This means that when I’ve used about half a tank of diesel it goes into emergency mode due to a perceived empty tank. That part is expensive, and few aftermarket parts with the fuel feed unit is available. I do however see that on the list of OE numbers for the part it also lists Ford parts that are much cheaper. Since the diesel tank will have to be taken down for the repair, it’s important that I’ve actually got the correct part when I get the repair done. Question: will alternative parts, like Ford unoriginal parts, work on the car. Or am I stuck with the expensive Volvo part? (Only alternative I’ve found is VEMO V95-09-0025, which is also quite expensive) PS: alternative OE parts were found on that Vemo part. Edit: it’s a 2007 1.6 D V50 manual transmission. |

Hey, Ford-Mazda parts and other 3rd party parts should be okay, try to search with OE number, for example: https://www.autodoc.co.uk/pierburg/7013508

Strange, since when I search the part number it Shows both sensor and pump (with sensor).
https://www.eurodel.no/catalogsearch...ber&q=30794767 May the reason be that that model of V50 uses a Ford Engine? |
