Diesel injectors
Right my s40 diesel has been playing up of late first symptom was a rough lumpy idle, last few days it's down on power especially up hills on the flat it's wooly but still cannons along, I blamed this on the turbo but I can hear the turbo working, it crossed my mind today maybe it's a injector issue dirty or worn, now question is how easy are they to get out and clean or do I just run some millers injector cleaner through it. It's a Renault diesel engined s40. Any help be appreciated

I mentioned it in your other thread.
A closed feed Diesel Purge will sort you out nicely. Whilst a pour in cleaner is a nice easy idea, it's unlikely to help and has never really done the job for me.

Clsoed loop feed , means disconnecting your existing fuel lines before the filter & using an external pump to supply the filter with fuel . You also re route the fuel return pipe into your cleaning mix tank ( normally a 1 gallon fuel can holding a mix of fuel purge & fuel suitable for your motor ) . You run the engien at a fast idle ( 2000 rpm ) until the fuel can is emptied . you then reconnect the original fuel supply & retrun pipes , bleeds & away you go . You return he excess fuel to you mix as th can will empty very quickly otherwise & your concentrated cleaner will disperse into your norma fuel lowering its efficiency

Ahh I see sounds complicated mate where do you get it done , I take it a garage someplace can do it. Seems to be the way to go first though a very good idea

It's easy Kieran, just two pipes and that's it.
Here's a video showing everything you need to do. It's on a D5 but it's the same principle on nearly all diesels. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=xYsXHC2-PSw
