Question c70 T5 Auto ECU on a manual car ?

I lost my keys last week and I found a local V70 T5 but turns out it is Auto and mine is a Manual car.
I changed the main bits that were coded to the ignition key including the transponder antenna and alarm module and all seemed fine.
When I drove it the car is limited to 4k rpm.
and showing up code on my cheapy reader as P1631.
I'm guessing it thinks that it's in park?
is there a way to transfer the chip that controls the key code to my original ECU? or a bypass?
Thanks in advance

There needs to be a pin connected to the ecu, but can't remember what now.

Alternatively, you could have the ecu altered.
Shem Green or Tim Williams on Facebook could help with the latter I think, as they map ecus

They're both in your neck of the woods too

Just had a thought, Fella...

Is your car ME7? (no throttle cable)

If so, I don't think you can just change the ecus.

Yeah it is ME7 and it does start and run well apart from throwing the code up and not revving past 4k RPM

Not sure then Fella.

Google Shemtek and give him a bell. Think he's probably closest to you.
Hopefully he'll be able to help you out.

Panic over old keys found so will swap ecu back over and then swap the chip into the new ignition key 😁👍
