Default Propshaft Balancer

Chaps,

Muchos vibration in the car at the moment after the M47 swap. After advice from all corners we've narrowed it down to a the propshaft being out of balance. I was recommended Saunders in the New Forest by Chris_C but they don't seem to provide this service anymore. If anyone knows of any other good, reliable engineering companies that can balance a two-part prop I'd be grateful if you could let me know, ideally within driving distance of Portsmouth so that I don't have to rely on my nice balanced prop getting bashed about in the post.

Cheers

Alex

Hi Alex

Not long had mine done by Feltham Propshaft services in .... Feltham!

They are part of a national group I think

Good work, prices and service

Also, I have a spare propshaft which I was going to return to Lakes - it's got about 110k miles on it and was on my car for a short while so I know it has no problems with it (B230F/M47 set up) - if you are interested it's in SW London - just off the end of the M3 as it happens

Let me know/good luck

Nick

Nick,

Sorry for the late delay, I've been completely offline.

I've ended up getting a complete, low mileage prop shaft off a donor car because I could get it with the bolts and gearbox crossmember as well so it was a bit of a bargain. Hopefully this should solve my issue but if not I'll give you a shout regarding balancers.

Cheers

Alex
