Engine Mounts

Hello,

Well, I have had a look and my car engine is shifting a lot backwards and forwards when the car is pulling away in 1st.

Please can someone tell me which engine mount will need replacing to correct this? I get occasional metal banging noise which I think is related.

If someone could post the link of the correct part or alternatively all 3 if its best to replace all of them.

I have had a look online but seem to be met with lots of different styles despite putting my model in. Its a V40 2002 1.8 petrol (bi fuel but standard engine).

My guess would be the two transmission mounts that are depicted in the guide I had previously put together on how to replace the turbo return hose and seal. Honestly though if two of them are shot do yourself a favour and just replace all four.

Thanks for info. Do you have a list of the part numbers for all of the engine mounts/rubber inserts? Is the cheapest place to order them from Volvo direct?

Just head to skandix website and input your car data. You will find all the part numbers buried in the “engine” category I think.
