Default Which v70 do I have?

I have a v70 but I'm not sure which model it is.

I've decoded the VIN, indicating that it is a 2005 model, but the reg is 54
The engine is 163 bhp

It's probably what's called a facelift since it has silver trim around the corners of the f/b bumpers.

I really only need to know because I need to get some spares for it and I don't want to buy the wrong parts.

I'm looking for a rear near side bottom light cluster but I don't know if a part from for example a 2002 model will fit my car.

Can anyone advise?

Thanks
Rob

If your light clusters have LED markers on the side, then you need one from a later car. These came in on the facelift.

Its actually more common than you would think to have a 2005 car with a 54 reg my XC70 is exactly the same , it happens because they start to produce the new model some time before they are actually due go on sale , so some end up being registered early.
Its a lot more noticeable on the volvo range for 2004/2005 because there was a big change in the electrical system for example at roll out of the face lift model.

You need to take care when ordering electrical items for example because parts from 2000-2004 cars will not work on 2005 -2007 cars, for example the alternator is item that is not interchangeable.

As reggit said you need to look at your lights to see if you have the later lights fitted that have the LED's, but I be leave you can fit the earlier light cluster they will just not have the LED's in them.

The same applies to the C70's of the same reg year - log book says 2004 but VIN indicates 2005.
