Volvo - s40 ii (ms)
Hi all
I need to buy some brake discs and pads for my s40 2.0 d sport 2006, I found some but says only suitable for MS models, what does the MS stand for. Cheers Karl. |

Not something I've ever heard of in 14yrs of P1 ownership. Main thing to sort with front pads and discs is disc size which will either be 278mm or 300mm. On a 1.6D more likely to be 278mm.
The only thing I can possibly think of is Momentum and Summum models which were never sold in the UK. Is the supplier website based in the nordic regions or mainland Europe?

Never heard of "MS" models aswell, what website gives you that info? What brand of brakes is that?
What are you after - front only or full set? I agree that fronts on your car are most likely 278 but it wouldnt hurt to actually measure them as that "sport" part of your car name might mean something, just in case.

I've seen it before, looks like it's just another way to distinguish between the original S40 (->2004) and 2nd generation S40 (2004->).
Seen them referred to as such:
So you'll want S40 II / MS - Same thing.
