Instrument panel illumination
V70,2003,D5,auto, The instrument panel is very dim, can't even see the time in daylight ! Going into an underground car park then everything looks good, night illumination is perfect, is there a sensor anywhere that could cause this problem ?

There is a light sensor on the CCM panel, looks like an infrared port. Maybe try covering it see if it works.

When I go into an underground/overground car park I have no need to put side/head lights on, the instrument panel instantly goes bright, so, there must be a sensor somewhere that is causing the problem, but cannot see where this infrared type port is on the CCM panel, only noticed a tiny vent. Thanks for the Tips .

In AC models the slot is immediately below the footwell direction symbol.

How are the rest of the controls behaving on the light control module (the pic that oragex posted above)? Can you adjust dimness in cabin? Does the fuel door release work, do fogs turn on? If some of the functions are inoperable you needs a new LCM. Just went through this in September.
