Default VIDA 2014 on virtual machine (win 7 64bit) driver problem?

I have installed Vida 2014 on Virtual Machine with Windows 7 64 bit on it.

I have attached Vida cable paired with Volvo s80 2004 and installed successfully drivers on Win 7.

However, there is some connection issue, as you can see on the image the communication tool won't detect anything even though I have installed VIDA drivers and established a connection (as seen in the bottom right).

What could be the problem?

Regards

Hi
or you can run a Registry patch that should be in the install/utils folder in the vida 2014D installation , (not the installed vida)
if you have not got it I can send it to you, but I need your email address,

I had problems running on a VM until I realised I needed to set up the host to support USB2, then it connected to the hardware fine.

Hi!

I did use the patch now, also checked the registry file with the binary code, but still no luck. If I use explorer it won't open localhost/vida nor localhost, perhaps I should re-install explorer or install older version of explorer?

also on chrome it works but it won't show 'communication with the tool'

Did you have an error before you did set up the host?

Do you have a tutorial for this?

I used this kit when I didn't use virtual machine. I believe it's down to the virtual machine it self or drivers.

Sorry I have never used virtual machine,
I did have a problem that looked the same, as in IE11 vida did not show the communication tool , so I did the regedit as on that website that I put a link to
and that worked for me,
I hope that you get it working,
