Hi Frostie

Mapping software is for Europe, which includes Great Britain.

DVD date stamp 2011 which should be the latest version.

I'll try and upload an image.

Hi JM Berks,

I have just acquired a 2003 xc90 but the factory sat nav has no disc unfortunately, are the DVD discs that manufacture year specific?

Hi DJD

Thanks for the enquiry.

I'm not sure but I think a 2003 model isn't fitted with HDD sat nav and has a CD-based system instead. Please check - if you have a hard disc setup then these DVDs will suffice.

Hi JM Berks,

thanks for the info, not really sure what system the car has, only had it two days and its my first ever Volvo, apart from Volvo excavators and Dump trucks!
All I know for sure is that there is a DVD drive under the passenger seat which at present has no disc in it. Have seen some info which says that volvo did a firmware upgrade to the early sat nav systems and this is required before the system will read newer updated discs? but I'm not sure, think a visit to my local dealer is the only way to get that info, not looking forward to it at all, have heard a few horror stories of the indifference of Volvo dealerships especially to older vehicles.
regards DJD
