Replacement injector needed for D5244T4
I've just managed to crack the top lock-nut that holds the solenoid onto the injector body. Assuming it's not possible to obtain this part on its own (new or 2nd hand) I probably need to get a whole injector.
This is what's written on top: Which of those numbers do I need to use to purchase an identical matching item that won't require any re-calibration ? Is it the 30777526 number ? If so, is something like this OK: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2009-Volv...6/222735314791

If I remember correct it’s the smaller set of numbers that are used to code the injector to ECM that are on top of the solenoid

I may also be replacing an injector as my No 5 is clicking away, does anyone know where about on Vida Dice 2014D you enter the code for the replacement injector?

What would you class as the smaller set of numbers out of those above? May have to code one myself soon.
Thanks

My D5244T4 (and car) was built in November 2007 and the injectors are all the following:
According to Darwen Diesels, the relevant information to obtain a replacement was the '0445110 298' number. I bought one from them on Monday and it arrived on Tuesday. The lower number also matched my other injectors (30777526) but this wasn't necessary when querying a replacement with them - it was only the '0445' number they needed. The injector was a simple swap-out with no configuration required and worked perfectly. I'll certainly be shopping from those guys again (they were very polite and helpful on the phone also). You can find the above and other Volvo injectors here: http://www.darwendiesels.com/search?...uery=volvo&p=3

Was it a new injector, so no coding done and works ok?
How much did you pay?

It was about £200 inc VAT. I think I would normally get some money back if I was exchanging my old injector, but as I broke mine it won't be suitable for that type of exchange (I'll probably just pay for it to be refurbished and keep as a spare). I'm not sure what type of injector requires coding work. They didn't ask me any for any details about my car, so somehow knew it would be compatible. To be honest, I'm not sure why this works, as if we're told not to swap the injectors around, you'd think introducing a new one would be just as bad. I'd definitely like to understand more about this. Yes - it works perfectly. It's almost as if I hadn't done anything to the injectors. I have no idea whether my ECM did some sort of calibration once the engine first fired up ?

Contacted the diesel place you mentioned but I did not have my injector number to hand doh! So gave them yours hoping it was the same. Turns out mine just has the 251 at the end instead of 268 like yours..
He confirmed that no coding was needed as the cars ecu should learn the new injector. I also asked about swapping 2 of mine around to see if the fault follows the injector and he said that was fine. So I will swap them around and see what happens and report back.
