The pictures on the Skandix website show how the rod is fitted to hold the basket in place. Maybe of use?

Yes that will show Derek how to place the pin, just a bit strange they show another picture with the pin missing -
maybe they forgot to change the photo, after the fixing pin became available.
The pin was not offered with the basket, when they started on the reproduction - it came much later.

Default Finally finished

This is NOT what I wanted to see, when I climbed up under the roof, to insulate the ceiling in the garage.

My car is standing right under this beam

Here is a better wiew =

The 2 spiked plates in the other end of the beams had also rusted apart.
I fitted new galvanized plates, with LONG screws (on all) -

Good thing I have 2 big garage jacks =

They got the ceiling back up in no time - all nice & straight now.

The whole ceiling now have 2 layers of insulation = 35-40 cm.

Steel clips and rivets available from Brookhouse along with the later plastic pop in type. Question - If the hole in the body is increased to suit (if needed) can the plastic clips be used? The trim strips for all years are the same part numbers.

Thanks Derek, I had heard they were being remade, but no name of the company.

Thats what I did in the 80ies, when the steel ones was gone, but you need the B20 trim too - the B18 trim is waay too flat, and gets damaged, if you try to fit them onto the plastic clips.

Might be now, but not in the old days, there is a huge difference to the two types = B18 & B20.
I am pretty sure the early (thin) B18 type is obsolete = superseeded by the fatter B20 type.

Default Door trim

Today I did the door trim, unfortunally was the trim for the drivers door fitted with the fat B20 plastic clips at some stage, so it took a lot of work to get it usable again.

Flattening =

All 4 done, even found a spare RH rear.
