Looks like a really nice car, it will be interesting to see what it makes. Hopefully for you it will make 2.5k plus. VGLWS...

Does look good. I have a 1996 940 LPT with the same exterior trim and spec except electric sunroof and must paint my mirrors silver but need a new used drivers mirror as had a whack at some point and wobbles.

Hope you get good money for it.

Keeping an eye on this - but fear it will go over my budget!

I was really surprised and very pleased. I had 12 people come and view, all remarked how nice it was. over 4000 page views and 350 watchers by the end.
It was clean and original, but no where near immaculate !
new owner has collected and is well pleased. now I need to fix my 940 tdic estate!

Yes, great to see a such an excellent example with relatively low mileage and even better to see that someone was prepared to pay decent money for a nice change........as opposed to certain people who automatically assume because it's a 20 year old 940 it's only worth 3 figures...

It was only a matter of time, anything RWD with a manual box that can track or go sideways for cheap is rising in value...E36 M3, Mazda MX 5. I think more people are cottoning on to the 940's potential. I reckon late 98 turbo examples with M90 boxes like the OP's ( and mine!) will be most sought after....
I am building my car to keep for the foreseeable future so it's not really of consequence, I will never get back the money that is going into it...but it is comforting to know I wouldn't have to be giving it away if I ever needed to sell it.

Absolutely, prices are going up in many cases. Cheap ones do still pop up, but not so often.

I thought I was paying a lot for my minter 940 CD LPT saloon with only 49k miles back in 2014. Got it for £1250 at a dealership.

I'd buy a twin of it again even at £1500+.
