Judder on Odd Gears
Hey. I've been experiencing juddering on gear 1, 3, and 5 at low speeds and during take off. The engine idles perfectly well, and a scan with VIDA brings up nothing. The tachometer tends to bounce slightly while the car's juddering, but generally the rpm correlates to vehicle speed so I cannot say definitively that the clutches are slipping. I've tried cleaning the MAF and MAP with contact cleaner, checked engine and transmission mounts and they seem okay. I did a drain and fill on my trans last year with Volvo OEM fluid and it still looks good. I would greatly appreciate any advice.

From my experience the Powershift transmission is very poor and our Australian cousins have dropped the f out of the name.
You need to take it to an auto gearbox specialist to have some diagnostics done. It is unlike that a Volvo dealer will be able to do this as they may want to fit a new gearbox. Did you change the filter when you changed the gearbox oil?

Mine is a wet clutch and I've heard these are supposed to be more reliable than the dry clutch.
I changed the external filter along with the oil. I'll probably end up taking it to a transmission specialist to get it checked out |
