Hehe sounds like you are busy indeed!

Amazing how much damage a little less octane can do.

BTW I used your code reader for the first time yesterday and diagnosed a potentially faulty MAF on my mates 940 so I've given him three to fit and see if any make a difference, so thank you again for the code reader!
Strictly speaking i think the B230ET was designed for 95 octane but i always run 98 octane in all my cars so it wouldn't make any difference to me. Just looked it up and the B230ET does need 98 octane.

I've taken in a V6 760 with blown headgaskets and it is a bit rough around the edges. The engine is going to be stripped for bits for a forum member but I don't think this 760 should be fully broken. I have a 1998 940 turbo I'm breaking so I was thinking I could combine the two in to one car.

Has anyone done this before and if so what is involved?

I'm guessing

Exhaust
Engine
Gearbox
Interior trim
Lh2.4 wiring
Throttle and kickdown cable
Power steering lines and pump
Intercooler
Radiator
Prop shaft may be longer on V6 as that engine sits a long way forward. Gearbox cross-member might also be in different position....

Just to update this I have now sold the 760... the customer buying it wants me to B230FK and M90 convert it! They are supplying the engine and I'm supplying everything else, hoping to get it done in the next few weeks so I will keep this thread updated on the work done to it.

My bad- I thought you had plans to put a 531 on it but the customer is now supplying their own engine
