Default Anti skid service message and car not starting

Hi Everyone,

My partners 2002 S60 2.0l petrol manual has got the anti ski service message and is not starting, 1day before this happened car was working fine no issues and The tyres were replaced and wheels changed round , my main question is could this movement of the wheels cause this error with the car?

Thanks
Margaret

yes its possible that changing wheel could affect anti skid warning . using air guns on wheel nuts may have broken an already rusty reluctor ring as for starting make sure there is plenty fuel as a starting point then check fuel filter. when was it last changed?

Hi Simmy
Thanks for your reply we have only owned the car a couple of months so I had to dig out the service history details. There was def plenty of fuel in it.

The fuel filter was last changed around 25000 miles ago( 5 yrs ago according to the service dates ) its last Volvo service was 2 years ago , 1 of the reluctor rings about 3 years ago.

Should I start with a new fuel filter?

Thanks
Margaret
