B200E tuning
Hey , i have a 740 1991 with b200e engine.
I want to build the motor to be stronger without using a turbo charger. I want to contain in my build a 2.5 Penta motor crank , and a 531 head with a V cam inside, what also need to be changed for it to work perfectly? I am planning on using a stand alone ecu. |

Sounds like you have thought it out. Its not going to be a B200E any longer once you go 531 and convert to EFI
The 86mm stroke crank will give you around 2.3 on the B200 block. Have you decided on pistons and rods? ITB's or a plenum? Cam choice? what RPM band do you want the engine working best in? |

Hey guys I got a b230fk today, so I’m building to putting the Penta stuff in it,
I want to use v cam that comes with 531 head I’m amazed by the idea to fit a boat engine parts on my car. Do I need to use the Penta pistons? |

The penta engine normally has the P cam (not to say that they did not also come with a V. The V cam is a fairly timid NA cam
The 2.5 86mm stroke engine uses shorter pistons As you are most likely have to rebore the block then you will need to use normal pistons. To do that you will then need shorter rods Do you already have the crank etc from teh penta engine? |
