That might explain why it didn't feel all that much different when I drove it afterwards. Anyway it was cheap enough to give it a go.

Next job - top engine mount!!

I wonder about these subframe inserts. The original subframe bush is oriented left to right and affects the steering feeling. However these inserts can only fill the front-rear space remaining, while the left-right space is still filled with the original worn rubber bush. Maybe reason why these inserts can't really improve the steering feeling.

When I changed out the the front strut components and the wishbones, I noticed a big improvement in the drive of the car - no more wandering off on it own. However, in all the cars I have owned I have never changed or had changed any subframe bushes. To be honest I wouldn't know what the symptoms were for a car with deteriorated subframe bushes.

the water gets in from the top of the bushes and eats them away

Bought a low mileage C70 rag top....but will retain the V70 for everything else other than non-inclement weather pleasure motoring e.g. shopping & etc. including lending the V70 to off-spring!!!!

Sorry if it sounds like a Master/ B******card advert!!!

Puppy, two tails and a huge grin come to mind
primarily because it is fundamentally an 850 with a bit of a tweek

"I rest my case".

Default Fallen in love again

When I bought the V70 last year, the alloy wheels were in a terrible state and I promised myself that as soon as I could afford it I would have them refurbished.

Picked the wheels up yesterday and got them fitted this afternoon. WOW. I'm in love with the car all over gain!!!!!!!
