There are a few sites
the one I find easiest is audi.co.uk go to value a vehicle enter reg and mileage email address etc (they've never spammed me) and there you go CAP price |

Problem is CAP is unrealistically low for a retail sale. So what over CAP would a dealer go for? Should be a good time of year to negotiate end of fancial year etc.
But I have an uphill battle on my hands...... |

CAP is never going to be anything other than a trade in price, which is what a dealer will offer.
CAP = Car at Auction Price, no one is at auction when you trade in but the dealer thinks he is but any more for your car is coming out of profit on the other sale. Windscreen price would generally be CAP + £2k-£4k (or your £3k Parkers value) depending on rarity of the car and others on the market. |

It’s been a long time since I was in the trade (short period turn of the century) and used cars were book + 1500 ish windscreen, salesmen could go to stand in value +1000 under 1000 was sales manager call. Or something like that.
Trying to work out where dealer will go to. Parker’s is CAP +2500 but car is 9k over cap so my thinking is cap (at mileage) +2k is dealer happy can I push the lower? I’m in a very weak negotiating position 😞😞😞 |

No you are not, you can walk away.
No matter what the car a dealer is selling there is always another car and another dealer. I drove 6 hours each way for the car I wanted at a price I was prepared to pay, and did the same the next weekend to pick it up. The internet means the world's your marketplace. Paul. |

Ha ha I’ve bought cars unseen and had them delivered from dealers 150 miles away absolutely perfect. However dealing with the outlaws I’m knackered lol Walked into a dealer put a deposit on a car they didn’t really want at sticker price + admin fee + dent insurance. Talk about uphill struggle........ |
