Default Replacing front panel on 1970 144

Hi

It's decision time with my terribly rusty 144. The wings and front panel are rotten in all the usual places and I'm trying to weight things up re: cost of repair etc.

It seems that front panels are available new from Brookhouse but they are the later types, with the vertical vents beneath the main grille. I think Volvo changed the radiator position and the size and shape, but wondered if I would still be able to use one of these later panels.

My panel (which 5% lost to rust at the ends) is the older type without the vertical vents.

Any suggestions would be great
Cheers
