Default C70 window switch pack

I’ve fitted a new window switch pack in the driver’s door as the original one was getting very messy. The plastic goes sticky with age! But the little rocker switch that should lower all four windows with just a momentary touch doesn’t work. Rocking it the other way will raise all four windows but doesn’t have the momentary touch capability and I’m wondering if it needs calibrated?

Hi Simon,I googled this problem and apparently the pack can be calibrated but it referred to 2001 to 2009 models only.

Thanks, Jack. My C70 is 2003 but the Google reference I found was not for the C series. But it certainly looks as though that's the fix. A trip to my dealer next week will hopefully sort it out.

The easiest way to re-calibrate/reset the C70 and 850 series windows is to wind the window(s) fully down keeping your finger pressed down on the button(s) for at least 10 seconds when the window(s) has(have) reached the fully down position.

Then wind the window(s) fully up keeping your finger pressed down on the button(s) for at least 10 seconds after it has reached the fully up position.

Reset/re-calibrate should be complete.

The process also works on all 800 series as well as the P1 and P2 platforms.

Thanks for this suggestion, ASt85, but the problem is that the momentary switch that should lower all four windows together doesn't work at all so I can't do the reset you suggest.

You may find if you reset each window using each individual button in term the momentary touch function on the 5th (rase/lower all windows) button starts to work normally.

OK, I'll give that a try and report back.

Many thanks.

OK, I tried the sugggested fix but still no sign of the windows down momentary button working. So I guess a trip to my dealer is the next step.
