Default 2003 C70 2.0GT convertible auto. Spares or repair.

I bought this car last week. I've wanted a C70 for ages, so I thought I'd finally found one.
I drove it back from where I bought it - about 30 miles - without incident, no problems at all. Then on Thursday night I went to work and drove it enthusiastically. It momentarily lost drive as I cornered hard, but dropped back in ok. This happened a couple of times. I attempted to check the fluid level yesterday, but as you can read in this thread: https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=75096

I didn't do it correctly, as you can read on the last page. To be honest, a mighty big pin has burst my bubble. I'm not a young man anymore and really don't want to get into too much work. Hope you understand. It may only need a gearbox service, and if it doesn't sell, I'll probably put it in and have it done.
It has mot until late June next year. From what I've seen, it has lots of new parts. The roof works as it should. It does go into drive/reverse immediately with no noises or hesitation, but I'm an honest person and don't want to trick anyone into thinking it's perfect.
I've tried to upload pictures twice now, but apparently a 'security token' is missing, so they won't upload. If anyone knows a way round this, please let me know.
Anyway, the car is red, looks very nice. Mileage is at 85k and I'd like to see £450 for it. It will drive away, no problem.

Me and Mrs Tetley went out and about in this yesterday.
I was apprehensive.
Blow me if I didn't drive without fault, with the exception of one very slight harsh changedown. Well not harsh at all really, no major thump or lurch, just a very slight 'kick'. Other than that, it went into drive with no drama, and the changes were very smooth.
I've now ordered myself a 'Pela' type extractor pump and some more JWS 3309, and I'm going to try a fluid change the best I can.

you said it was when cornering so I wonder if the auto gearbox oil level is low , and signs of leaks ? Maybe someone changed the oil and did not put enough back in ..

It certainly sounds as though it could be low on fluid, if you do drain and change the fluid don't forget to check and maybe change the filter.
Cheers

Also posting in the correct forum may get more interest if still for sale or advice regarding correcting the current issues.

Sorry, I thought this was the correct forum, it's a 2003 C70.

Out and about in it again today. 99.9% perfect. Again, just one minor bump changing down.
I'm just waiting on my extractor pump and atf to arrive, then we'll see what's what.

The C70 is an 850 really . old technology going back to 1992.

why don't you just drain it from the drain plug ?
