V40 Rear Wiper not wiping center screen?

Since I'm here, I thought I would ask this as it's been bugging me for years since I've had my V40.

The rear wipers don't work properly on mine - it somehow doesn't wipe the center part. It's as if the actual wiper lifts up when it gets to the center part.

Also, how the heck do I replace the blades? I have no idea how to remove it!
