I think the OP means he was quoted £315 for D&P's to be fitted at a Garage and whether that was reasonable.

If we said £100.00 parts, and, say ~ 1 hour per side labour @ 50.00/hr? that should be 200.00 + vat.

Most family type independent garages are far more reasonable than main dealers or large franchises, you can mostly supply your own parts for them to fit too.

Sure, but depending on brake size I think price variation may be different from "reasonable" to "ridiculous". I can get 280mm disc for 23 euros, whether 320mm I would be happy to pay less than 70 so u know...

to OP - price of parts aside, I paid 40euros per side of Disc+Pads replacement in my independent mech. I sourced parts myself but price may vary depending on parts quality. If you were quoted 315 by Volvo Stealership, its probably "normal" price for their service & OEM parts.

That sounds about right, just ask them what brand they are putting on and dont be afraid to add few extra quid for better quality one - sometimes those "15 quid pads" can cause irritating squeaking and a TON of brake dust so atleast go for parts considered medium or top quality.
my advice.

I am just getting my set as well.
Only pads for a 320mm front and a 280mm rear on a 2009 2.0D V50.

I think it will be around £40-50. But that’s just the pads. I fit myself obviously!

It says for the rear, but good for the front:

I'm only using Volvo brake pads on the rear after my experience of rattling brake pads..
