  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Default convertible top

would anyone know what could be wrong with my top? I can lower and raise it manually but the power switchwill not do anything what can be wrong? oh and I did replace the switch

If it is the earlier C70 with the canvas roof, are you doing it according the book?

The engine must be running
The handbrake must be applied
The footbrake pressed throughout the cycle
And, it is an automatic, the selector must be in Park (and I assume with a manual box, it should be in neutral)

If you are doing all of these things, the only way to work out what is wrong is to have the system read by a Volvo dealer with the appropriate computer. The whole roof system is quite complicated with various motors and sensors.

the top did work fine and all the sudden it stopped half way down and again it is a 2004 c70 with the canvas top

Cool 2004 c70

2004 c70 with the canvas top worked just fine for the 3 years before when we bought it used and then all the sudden it stopped half way down we found a sensor that was broke off on the left side of the hatch cover(?) I repaired it but it will not do anything with the switch
