Default Thinking of buying 440 1.8 Si CVT

Hello, I've just signed up hoping to get some advice, I've seen the above model currently for sale 1995 61,000 miles. I am very interested but this would be my only car and a daily driver although I work from home so no commuting. Is the CVT considered a reliable gearbox and are there any issues regarding high repair costs and parts supply, not just for the gearbox but the car in general. In the past owned a 340 and a 245 but 20 plus years ago.
Used to do all my own vehicle maintenance years ago but far too busy with work and family etc these days,(use a reliable local garage now) so needs to be fairly dependable but I've always owned older and more interesting cars so know all the issues.
Many thanks in advance for any advice
Sean.

The CVT gearbox didnt seem to have a lifespan over around 80000 miles . The rest of the car would be good if no rust .
