If it has a ETM and no HT leads then it will be a 20 valve car either, 140 or 170 hp.
Have a look at the timing belt cover for the engine code. The engine management system for a non turbo car will be Denso, this is OBDII compliant but won't produce flash codes. You may want to talk to your insurers, if the engine is wrongly described you may not be coverd. |

Engine code is B5244S2 (according to the VIN plate decoder) The advert when we bought it definitely described it as a 10 valve, but obviously we now know it's not!
The car was insured according to the numberplate which automatically brought up the car. I did check for the 140bhp bit. So will an OBDII code reader work then?
