Default XC100 possible render

So I shouldn't post these kind of things to avoid creating false imagery as we are used to see on iPhones before they debut, but here is an interesting render from the future XC100 with the SPA 2 platform.

My first impression is: it's not pretty. But these images are not the official ones.
I have no information if this is leaked from one of the possible designs or not.

The tailgate and those stupid indents in the doors are so ugly, the XC40 is spoilt by those door indents, looks like Volvo want to use them on other models.

given there is no indication that this is based on ANY spec or info from Volvo, and hence in any way possibly linked to, you know, the actual car, I may as well draw a box with 2 circles and we can discuss the pros and cons of that.

Well this render came from a known Swedish auto magazine.
They might have some inside info but as you said, its not confirmed by Volvo.
Swedish are not known for "creating" or "inventing" news to sell magazines or papers because the Swedish media is not sensationalist, so I believe that this design has some kind of true background.

Only when you see the prototype in 2021 you will know for sure how it might end up looking like.

I wonder if Volvo are going to pinch this idea for a pull out bike rack, the ugly slab sided rear bumper looks to have a draw in it.

Or it may be for a tempa spare wheel .

I think we're going to see more commonality between all the Geely owned companies, ie: Volvo, Polestar, Lynk & Co (and may be others).
