Not a lot but if you need to top it up, you're better off just draining it and putting new fresh oil in. Its not a hard job really.

I lifted up the car and checked both axles. Passenger side axle's inner cv joint had A LOT of play in it, drivers side didn't.
The job itself isn't hard. The hardest part in my opinion is getting the bolts loose on the bearing bracket around the axle, they were quite stuck and there isn't a lot of room. But it's doable and everything else went quite smoothly for me.
The old axle was very worn on mine, I was surprised it didn't vibrate more than it did.

Edit: also when sliding the new axle into the gearbox try not to get the spline dirty, it might not go in all the way if you do and the dirt will obviously be bad for the gearbox if it gets in there.

Hi,
How did you check the play of the CV joints, I have some vibration, I suspect the right axle is gone, although it looks in perfect condition....have you changed both of them? Where did you get them?
Thanks
