Wheel trims
Hi (Volvo V40 2L CD)
Just lost one of my wheel trims (15inch) on the M4 (serves me right for not tying them on)Volvo want £40 for ONE.Any body know where to get Volvo wheel trims for a realistic price.Otherwise its off to Halfords for cheapees,as im not going to pay that price for a round bit of plastic. Cheers |

RE: Wheel trims
Hi.
The only place I can think of would be a breakers yard or swedish spares specialist for original items. Bear in mind, when you're buying cheapies from Halfords, they tend to be harder and more brittle than the original items. Halfords wheel trims will more than likely smash when impacted whereas the Volvo ones are more likely to bend and go back to their original shape although probably with scuff marks on... I would say it is better in the long run to get some nice alloys when your tyres need replacing, and get a deal on them. You can usually get a set of 4x15" alloys with tyres from around £420 depending on style and tyre choice. You will have no worries about losing them, but you have to be more careful when parking etc. ;-) In the mean time I would buy the trims (original or aftermarket) that takes your fancy and tie them on. Cheers, Dan. |
