I had my MY19 XC60 T5 serviced on Friday 27th September and had the software updated.

Noticeable change (positive) in performance and the engine sounds 'sportier' (quite addictive!)

My XC60 T5 has it’s 1st service 2 weeks ago @ c7,500 miles, but in last 10 days has put on nearly 2,000 miles.
I was only thinking to myself on my way back this w/e that the car felt/sounded much more sportier & smoother in it’s gearshifts which I kinda put down as the engine loosening up as it approaches 10,000 miles ........BUT the updated software is a far more logical angle as thinking back the change was sudden.

In my Volvo post service research questionnaire I stated that Volvo U.K. should give customers a simple printout of the key/major features of the latest applied software updates.
I doubt that unless you are a follower of forums such as this that the average Volvo owner of a recent model would have absolutely ZERO idea at the last/next service that the new ”Connected Car” feature had been installed with an extra icon on the 3rd Senus screen that is turned off by default & needs to be activated.
IMHO Volvo need to be more proactive in informing their customers just what a great product their cars are.........!!
