Considering buying a 480 and basically just want as much info/buying advice as possible

well first things first, check the rear wheel arches for rust mate.

I hate to dampen your spirits but there's so much to list when looking to buy a 480. Lots of niggly electrical, engine and water ingress problems but they can be rectified. Best to buy from someone who knows and cares for their car. Some very nice examples have been advertised on here over the last few months.

Cheers mate, Steves already told me the electrics arent too good.

Im not too fussed though as ive got a bit of experience with cars, Dads a mechanic, and theres always Steve the volvo nut

That's grand then...make sure you pick one up with the rear arches missing. Steve's a dab hand with the filler these days
