Unhappy Electronic Throttle Module?

Hi all, first time ask on here would appreciate any positive contributions. My volvo is a C70 Coupe X reg.I had an accident a couple of weeks ago,I was hit a glancing blow on the drivers side bumper area it moved the bumper over a couple of inches and put a hole in the bumper.Straight after the accident the ETS light came on?I told the insurers about this. After coming back to me after the so called repair,I decided to take it for a drive as I drove away the engine management mode light came on and the car went into limp mode(very embarrassing)The insurance company say that the knock would not have caused the ETS/ETM to fail and it is down to wear and tear!!The mileage is 94,000mls.Can anybody advise please?Sorry for being a bit long winded but Its my first ask.

When not in limp mode is the car driving ok?

The ETM is a well known problem and there is a chance a clean could solve your issue but with the car going into limp chances are less.

I would suggest you check all the air pipes at the front end of teh engine for damage.

What codes are coming up?

hi, i too had motor bike hit front bumper ,after which my eml came on. like u my insurance company say it has nothing to do with accident and refuse to sort problem out as they say " there are no other cases which it has happened". IT WOULD BE INTERESTING TO SEE IF THERE ARE MORE AND PRESENT OUR CASE BACK TO THEM. glenv70.
