Hello everyone I’m new to the forum and new to Volvo. I have just placed my order for the new XC40 just wondered how many have taken the plunge and any advise to a newbie to the Volvo brand. I’m hoping it proves better than my last 2 cars bought brand new and both were rejected within a short period of time as they could not be repaired !!
Be interesting to know what colours and if diesel or petrol is the choice. Look forward to your replies 😀

Which model did you order, etc, and did they give any time scale for delivery?

I hope you took up either the 3 or 5 year service deal - well worth it.

I have a D4 First Edition on order, hopefully arriving for a March 1st registration. Crystal White with the 20” wheels option. No lava carpets!

Hi thanks for the welcome,
First Edition T5 ordered as I don’t do many miles. Yes I got the 3 year complementary service pack. Hoping to see physical car next 2 week or so at dealers with test drive to follow. Ordered white with 19” wheels, wasn’t sure if the 20”s would give a bit hard ride and prince to kerbing ?
Would like to have had a test in petrol and diesel tbh just to compare but hoping I made the right choice. Still wondering if to change to grey.
