called about the red one listed on carandclassic, its using water, the chaps been putting K seal into it for 7 years, but appears to be no sign of mixing fluids. but the HG was done 8 years ago, as was the cam belt. so the belts will need doing, and there may be a head gasket issue.
Avoiding that one.

saw that earlier today, opinions on booking an MOT close to home and driving it back?
I just don't feel like it would make it for some reason, nor would it be a good idea. belts would need changing, fluids, tyres, bushes...

i have a blue/green 93 940 turbodiesel estate project i might be willing to part with.. done alot of work on it, no MOT because its going to fail on snapped handbrake cable, and i think the rear light lenses as they are very clouded. it is in need of a clutch (though still drives) and some body repair on the D pillar but other then that she is quite tidy

Sounds like a bit much for me, I can do all of that, but I'm wanting a solid, clean car that is running and driving well to start with :/

found one on click cars, but the phone numbers are of no use. one doesn't exist, the other one provided me with a man with no knowledge of stocking a Volvo.
can't believe its this hard, there was a great 940 estate about 2 weeks ago on ebay with tons of work done to it which would've been ideal

There were a couple of decent manual ones on eBay only a few weeks ago. It won't be long before some more appear

Just seems to have been a big gap in sales, I guess because its getting closer to Christmas.
I'm really looking for a 740.

Tried Lakes Volvo in Bedford and they had nothing amazingly either
