Default That time of year for the MOT

This week my S60 is going in for the MOT, its second in my ownership.

I've replaced some parts that were advisories last year, as far as I can tell nothing major is going to fail.

However I had the NSF lower suspension arm replaced last week as it had started making knocking sounds. I mentioned when picking the car up they were both advisories on the last MOT, the mechanic said the OSF is not much better than the other old one. The car drives fine, does not pull and no longer knocks on rough roads.

My only niggle now are those stupidly difficult to get at front indicator bulbs, they are not as amber as they once were. I have new bulbs, but can I reach in to get at the bulb holders, nope, it's so tight in there. So she is going in with the same bulbs, and the garage can have all the fun of changing those.

I had mine done yesterday, 214K and no advisories! Although it was amusing watching the MOT screen state that my mileage had increased significantly since the last inspection.

And the old girl passed. 183K miles and two advisories.

First one, sill covers fitted
Second one, front indicator bulbs discoloured.

So she now has MOT until 1st March 2019.

I took my airbox out to do my N/S indicator and the washer filler neck out to get to the O/S bulb.

Made access much easier.
