Angry XC60 2018 Bonnet Gap

I am aware of an apparent gap between the bottom of the front edge of the Bonnet and the top of the chrome grill at the from of the car. Upon opening, the engine bay is covered with salty crap and residue that extends all the way back to the rear of the engine bay / front bulkhead. It appears that the gap is allowing all rainwater spray etc in through this gap..I do not believe this is deliberate, maybe to allow airflow in for cooling, as this would be done via radiator etc, so it much be a design fault...anyone got similar...?... temp fix will be to insert draft excluder into prevent this...

I've just been out to check mine, there is about a 6mm gap, not enough to get a finger into. Also the bonnet is flush with the wings.
Haven't noticed any excess muck in engine bay.

Funny enough I had cause to open the bonnet yesterday to refill the screen wash and also noticed that the top of the slam panel and engine bay looked dirty and "salty". Used some spray polish and cleaned it all up. The bonnet fit is good but there is a gap under it. I don't remember my old model being as bad as this.

I have also spoken to my dealer about the muck on the inside of the rear doors. Of course, there is nothing they can do as it is the design but they have promised to get onto Volvo and lodge the concern. They agreed with me that there needs to be a narrow guard of some sort fixed to the wheel arch lining to prevent the wheel pushing the dirt into the door. Perhaps if enough of us mention it they will look into it for a modification.

I've mentioned the rear door problem to my dealer, it's my biggest gripe with the car. Definitely needs a fix.

I think the rubber seal currently at the rear of the engine bay needs to be extended around to the front of the bay which would stop this.. cheap and easy design fix...although not a recall issue it would be good to see Volvo react to customer feed back... The bonnet is being re aligned by local dealer as it is definitely higher on one side than the other...we shall see... thanx for all feed back...
