It does seem strange that a car with 10k, has needed 2 tyres, and that budget tyres have been fitted. But that is the supermarket way of selling cars. Do as little as possible to prep the cars.

But this could be the reason why it’s dropped out of the official network

Well this is interesting...

https://www.whatcar.com/volvo/s90/sa...82/on-the-road

Seems that this car was a Press Car, is that a good thing or a bad thing? The car in the photo's for this review from What Car is the car in question. Which is odd as I understood it had a Private Plate.

That is a real bad thing as the Press will:
1. Treat it like a Hire Car & not give a two pence worth of care about the car, not treat it with respect, not report any damage, etc, etc
2. Be keen to test it's performance without caring about the consequences - after all its NOT their private car.

So as per the other postings on this thread - think "Barge Pole" and keep on walking.

Just had a 2019 S90 T8 R-Design with 20” wheels, no air as a rental from Hertz in Sweden. Guess what? Steering wheel shake at higher speeds. I thought nothing of it except an ill-treated rental but seems to be an ongoing problem.

I didn't bother to update the thread as I thought people had losts interest but here we go, seeing as someone replied:

I did in fact go back to Car Shop Northampton as they said they had done the wheel balancing and that everything was fine. What a total waste of time! As soon as I got in it was obvious there was still a problem as the car just pulled to the left, tracking! This was despite my multiple requests for them to make sure it was ok before I traveled for 2 hours to get to them and them confirming it was ok.

So I didn't buy it, shame! The vibration had gone that was initially there but there was still a slight vibration. Later that day I tried an R-Design which only had 5000 miles on it and it was lovely, in terms of engine, smooth as you like. Unfortuately it gave me backache, sports seats and suspension I guess, so it was not for me.

I've now purchased an Inscription but it too is the other side of the country so I've not yet had a proper test drive and it'll take a week or two to be delivered. It is from a Volvo dealer and I have been promised it's from a Mature gentleman who's looked after it.

Colour is the same and it has 18"s as opposed to 20"s which is better for me but it doesn't have the list of extras the other one had, like the B&W or the 360 camera, HUD. It cost a bit more than the other one but it does come with a year Volvo Selekt warranty and I managed to knock a grand off of it.

So it's a case of fingers crossed. It just better get here before another one comes up locally that I can go and test drive immediately and change my mind!
