Default Intellisafe assist

Hi all,
First post here so please go easy on me!
Always been a fan of volvos and fell in love with the new Range of volvos. A year on and I’ve finally got one of my “realistic” dream cars in the form of a MY2020 XC60 R design. I’ve had it two days and so far, it’s better than I thought it would be!

The car was already at the dealership and was on offer hence I had no ability to add options and unfortunately I do not have Intellisafe assist. The one I test drove had this pack and I found it great. Having done some digging, on the Volvo website it seems that this can be done as a dealership fit option however my local dealers are pretty insistent that it’s factory only. My question is, does anyone know if it can be done dealer fit and if so, does anyone have an idea of price?

Thanks!

Use a different dealership, sounds like that dealership are not up to the job.

Please name the dealership that told you this. I recommend that you do these inquiries by email to your dealership.
The information they are giving you is incorrect and if they are lazy, incapable or badly informed, Volvo has to be aware of it.

Naming the dealership will also help other forum users to probably avoid requesting any service from them.

It is not the dealership it's the individual concerned , Yes he represents the dealership but you cant tar them all with the same brush , just educate this particular individual , get him or her to show more interest in their job by looking through the accessory catalogue on a regular basis for example or sending them up to volvos training courses which are the best in the business. :-)

No , just software and a hydraulic unit ...

(No Hydraulic unit if the car is the twin engined model ,
as they already have one ) .

TBH, most Volvo dealers (service departments) seems to be incompetent or deliberately misleading customers.

I was told, they CANNOT run a VIDA diagnostic unless the battery is fully charged (start/stop has never worked consistently, still does not)

Credit where credits due, the dealership admitted they didn’t know and said they would do some digging. In their words, wanted to be proved wrong! And they were. They have come back with a price of £1080 which to me seems steep bearing in mind from what I can tell, the 2020 model doesn’t require the hydraulic pump as it’s already in place (regardless of being twin engine or not).

We will see! It’s on the maybe list!
