Brace yourself LJ, when you do find the driver's seat part it'll set you back more than £70

Dunno about the passenger part though.

I got the driver's side panel for my Exec from Caffyns of Eastbourne (via eBay)

Bit more info here https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=265160

Cheers

Price wasn't £35 as I had thought.

Two points which might be of interest:-

1. I believe the same part is used on passenger and drivers side - you could get a LH drive passenger panel from abroad and it should fit your RH drive driver's seat here in the UK.
https://www.volvopartshop.com/xc90-f...qx-22246-p.asp

2. The same part is used on the Exec model, but the hole for the ventillated massage seat controls has to be cut out - buying the ready cut part from Volvo doubles the price.

Attached images show the part I bought, after cutting out the hole for the switches.

That is VERY interesting - many thanks.

How on earth did you find that out??

Is the cut out for the massage switch marked out on the inside?

Or did you just dive in with a dremel?

Cheers

No markings on the inside.
Made a paper template and drew the outline on the new part - then just as you said, used a dremel.

This is my second replacement. Paid £111 to Volvo for the first one, and it only lasted 18 months - original lasted 9 years!

Trawlled the net for ages looking for a side panel specifically for my Exec, before deciding to buy an ordinary one and attempting to make it fit.
Then realised that the part numbers were the same.
Presumably Volvo (or their supplier) use some fancy kit to cut out the hole for the Exec's seat switches, then charge double for the part.

Yes, I got confused by the part numbers being the same.

I think I'll get one to have it ready for when mine breaks again.

Thanks for the info

Cheers
