I think that FRF Volvo in Swansea are generally considered by this forum to be a trusted online source of original parts. Caveat: I've not used them myself.

I've used this firm every time that I have needed genuine parts particulary Timing belt kit etc.

Never had the slightest problem with them.

I messaged them about the drivers seat switch panel - no reply from them.

There are a couple of main dealers who sell on eBay - here’s one:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/tynlonvolvodiscountedparts

Search for a genuine volvo oil filter (as an example) on eBay and you will find 2 or 3 other main dealers who sell. There’s one in Newcastle (Mills) and one up in the northwest somewhere.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/lloydvolvocarlisle - another one!

Also a midlands based main dealer who sell via a web site:

https://www.volvopartshop.com/ - these are good as I use them.

I've used FRF Swansea for a couple of years and have found them really helpful.

Unfortunately I think they have been hit pretty hard with recent events and have staffing challenges. I spoke to them last Friday and seems they are down to one person working in parts and they are currently hard to get hold of.

I have found calling to be more reliable than emailing. Suggest you give them a call and ask reception to speak with parts.

They are a good bunch of guys and usually super helpful - just need to give a bit of slack at the moment from my experience.

I've been using volvopartstrade (not volvotradeparts) on eBay. they are actually a Volvo dealer in Newcastle. for an example a ball joint from volvotpartstrade was £63 + 3.99 shipping. My local Volvo dealer was £63 + V.A.T
